Last week Naim updated their control app to allow native support of the Qobuz high-resolution music streaming service, once the long-awaited firmware version 3.4 was available to update their streamers. On Monday 10th February the firmware became available, so now owners of Naim’s Uniti products (Atom, Star and Nova), as well as the Classic Series (ND5 XS 2, NDX 2 and ND 555) players can update their streamers over-the-air to enable Qobuz.
The update is a straightforward process which will likely be marked with an icon of a down arrow in the ‘rooms’ section, or you can access it within the settings page under ‘Check for Updates’.
There is also available, via the app, a 30 day free trial for those who have not yet tried Qobuz. The firmware update incorporating native Qobuz support for the Mu-so 2nd Generation and Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation will follow soon.
